Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our versatile team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in cloud infrastructure management and automation practices, with a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining our cloud services, collaborating closely with development teams to enhance our product offerings.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy cloud applications utilizing containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure the integrity and security of cloud data through proper management.
• Create backup and disaster recovery plans for cloud environments.
• Work with development teams to refine application deployment workflows.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends in cloud computing.
• Train and mentor junior team members on cloud technologies and practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud strategy initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cloud technologies and DevOps practices

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
