Occupational Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will work with patients to enhance their ability to perform daily activities and improve their quality of life through therapeutic design and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patients' capabilities and needs.
• Craft treatment goals based on individual assessments.
• Deliver direct therapy to assist patients in achieving their goals.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed.
• Engage with families to support patient care plans.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers for comprehensive treatment.
• Advise on adaptive equipment and modifications.
• Participate in case management and team meetings.
• Support community outreach programs and health initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Honours degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Additional certifications in specialized therapy areas are an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience, especially in pediatrics or geriatrics

• Rehabilitation Techniques

Languages

• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous
