Pharmacologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacologist to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing drug interactions, conducting research, and enhancing existing pharmaceuticals to improve patient outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics, as well as experience in clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute laboratory experiments to assess drug efficacy.
• Monitor ongoing clinical studies and report findings.
• Work with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance.
• Review and analyze scientific literature related to pharmacology.
• Train and mentor junior staff on pharmacology practices.
• Support the marketing team with drug information and studies.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences is preferred
• Postdoctoral experience is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in pharmaceutical research or academia

Certifications

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification
• Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
