Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Telecom Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will install, maintain, and repair various telecommunications systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Install telecommunication systems such as digital lines, modems, and routers.
• Provide on-site support and troubleshooting for telecom issues.
• Coordinate with other technicians and contractors for installations.
• Monitor and maintain network performance through various tools.
• Keep current with technological advancements in the telecom industry.
• Prepare reports for ongoing projects and system upgrades.
• Train junior technicians on installation and maintenance procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Electronics or Telecommunications
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in telecom installation and maintenance

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
