Delivery and Assembly Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Delivery and Assembly Technician to join our vibrant team. This role entails delivering products directly to customers and assembling furniture or equipment at their locations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assemble products at customer locations on schedule and to specifications.
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections of products to ensure quality.
• Support customers in understanding product functionality during assembly.
• Document issues or concerns raised by customers and report them to management.
• Ensure storage and equipment management on delivery vehicles.
• Participate in team meetings to improve operational efficiencies.
• Train junior staff on delivery and assembly processes as required.
• Promote a positive customer experience through effective communication.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and serviceable.
• Engage in ongoing training to enhance technical knowledge of products.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• At least 2 years in a delivery or assembly technician role

Technical Skills

• Driving Experience
• Basic Carpentry Skills

Certifications

• Forklift License

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Intermediate

• Skills in electrical assembly: Experience with assembling electrical equipment or appliances.
