Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Maintenance Engineer to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently. You will collaborate closely with production teams to identify opportunities for improvement and maintain our high standards of performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance and repair initiatives for all production equipment.
  • Conduct regular audits of maintenance activities for compliance.
  • Train staff on safety procedures related to machinery operation.
  • Monitor and track maintenance expenditure and budget.
  • Engage with suppliers to source replacement parts.
  • Utilize maintenance software to track performance metrics.
  • Provide feedback on improvement opportunities to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate inventories of tools and supplies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes.
  • Assist with development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Certifications in related fields are advantageous
Experience
  • 3-5 years of hands-on maintenance experience

Languages
