We are searching for an experienced Research Scientist to join our dynamic team based in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific research, with a focus on developing innovative solutions and driving projects from conception to completion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our research capabilities and ensure our projects meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop hypotheses and experimental designs aimed at addressing key scientific questions.
• Review and interpret research results for application in scientific publications.
• Liaise with external partners and funding agencies for collaborative projects.
• Foster an environment of innovation and rigorous scientific inquiry within the team.
• Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and compliance with protocols.
• Contribute to project management and timelines to ensure research objectives are met.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Biological Sciences or related field
• PhD in relevant area is strongly preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive research experience
