Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our Pretoria team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You will engage with customers, manage prescriptions, and provide critical guidance on drug therapies.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient medication histories for drug interactions and contraindications.
• Provide consultation to healthcare professionals on drug therapy and alternatives.
• Participate in the development of pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Facilitate medication reconciliation for patients transitioning in care.
• Maintain pharmacy records and compliance documentation.
• Assist in clinical trials or research activities as needed.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding their therapies.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care.
• Support pharmacy initiatives for continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or related healthcare field
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a pharmacy environment
