Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Research Scientist to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and analyzing clinical studies. You'll contribute to seizing opportunities for innovation and improvement within healthcare research.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical trials from conception to completion.
• Analyze trial data and collaborate with statisticians.
• Work closely with institutional review boards (IRBs) for protocol approvals.
• Train and mentor junior scientists and research staff.
• Develop and manage budgets for research projects.
• Prepare publications for peer-reviewed journals.
• Conduct literature reviews to identify research opportunities.
• Collaborate with external partners on research initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in a relevant field
• Experience with funding applications is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of clinical research experience
