Tax Consultant

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Tax Consultant to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of South African tax legislation and experience in tax compliance and advisory services. You will be responsible for assisting clients with their tax obligations and providing strategic tax planning advice.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and strategies.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to review their tax situation.
• Prepare comprehensive tax advisory and compliance documentation.
• Utilize tax software to streamline calculations and submissions.
• Offer insights into international tax issues as applicable.
• Contribute to internal training on tax compliance and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Honours degree in Accounting, Taxation or equivalent
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax consultancy role

Technical Skills

• Tax Compliance Strategies
• Financial Analysis

Soft Skills

• Client Relationship Management
• Time Management

Certifications

• Registered Tax Practitioner (RTP)
• Certificate in Tax Compliance is a plus

Languages

• Afrikaans: Intermediate
• English: Fluent

• Experience with transfer pricing: Knowledge and understanding of transfer pricing regulations and documentation.
• Taxation of digital assets: Familiarity with emerging taxation challenges in the digital economy.
