Responsibilities

• Examine animals to detect and determine the nature of diseases and injuries.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including radiology and ultrasound.
• Develop treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote animal welfare.
• Assist in training and mentoring veterinary team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related
• Postgraduate studies in veterinary medicine is advantageous

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in small animal practice

Certifications

• Certified Veterinary Practitioner

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of animal rehabilitation: Understanding of physical therapy techniques for animals.
• Familiarity with veterinary software systems: Experience with clinic management software is a plus.
