Cloud Engineer

Job Description

As a Cloud Engineer in Bloemfontein, you will play a key role in our cloud transformation journey. We need someone with a strong DevOps mindset who can automate processes, manage cloud environments, and ensure high availability of applications.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement cloud solutions with a focus on automation.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for deployment of cloud applications.
• Monitor and maintain cloud environments for optimal performance.
• Conduct regular security audits and implement necessary measures.
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand cloud requirements and limitations.
• Assist in the migration of existing applications to cloud platforms.
• Provide training and support to team members on cloud technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps

Technical Skills

• AWS
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Terraform

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with CI/CD tools: Familiarity with Jenkins or GitLab CI for continuous integration and deployment.
• Knowledge of networking concepts: Understanding of VPCs, subnets, firewalls, and load balancers.
