We are in search of a qualified Structural Engineer to join our experienced team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structural projects. Candidates should hold a relevant degree and have a passion for engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems and components.
• Prepare engineering calculations and reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure structural integrity.
• Review and approve designs and plans.
• Ensure projects comply with local building codes and safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in structural design

Technical Skills

• SAP2000
• STAAD Pro

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer
• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with project management software: Familiarity with management tools like MS Project or Asana.
• Construction site experience: Hands-on experience on construction sites managing structural works.
