Job Description

We are in search of a qualified Structural Engineer to join our experienced team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structural projects. Candidates should hold a relevant degree and have a passion for engineering and project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement structural design strategies that meet project needs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and staff.
• Keep up to date with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Promote engineering best practices and quality control procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in structural design

Technical Skills

• SAP2000
• STAAD Pro

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer
• ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Sustainable design knowledge: Understanding of sustainability principles in engineering.
• Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans: Bilingual skills to enhance communication on site.
