Job Description

We are on the lookout for a proactive Catering Manager to oversee the planning and execution of our catering services in Durban. This role involves managing staff, coordinating events, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and an eye for detail, ensuring every event exceeds our clients' expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design creative menus catering to diverse dietary needs.
• Schedule and assign duties to catering staff effectively.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
• Ensure all catering equipment is in good working order.
• Handle inventory management and ordering processes.
• Evaluate and adjust service methods based on client feedback.
• Cultivate relationships with new clients and maintain existing ones.
• Conduct evaluations after events to improve future service.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
• Catering Management course completion is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the catering sector

Certifications

• Certified Catering Professional (CCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
