In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness while adhering to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from conception to execution.
• Utilize project management tools to track progress.
• Analyze test data and provide insights for design improvements.
• Implement sustainable design practices in projects.
• Assist with budgeting and resource allocation for engineering projects.
• Foster innovation through brainstorming sessions and workshops.
• Document engineering processes and maintain project logs.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management or a related field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within manufacturing or heavy industry

Technical Skills

• 3D CAD Software
• Thermodynamics

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
