Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications while ensuring that patient safety is always prioritized. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role as you will be interacting with both patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacist in preparing prescriptions and medications.
• Provide counseling to patients about their medications.
• Assist in the management of medication therapy for patients.
• Monitor and report on inventory levels to ensure supply adequacy.
• Engage with patients to ensure understanding of their treatment plans.
• Participate in pharmacy team meetings to improve service quality.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Pharmacy

Experience

• 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience preferred

Certifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
