Responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations to assess oral health.
• Develop and evaluate treatment solutions for dental issues.
• Educate patients about oral hygiene practices.
• Administer anesthesia and perform tooth extractions.
• Ensure equipment sterilization and patient safety are prioritized.
• Participate in continuous learning and development.
• Suggest improvements to clinic procedures.
• Orient new staff on dental procedures as necessary.
• Shorten waiting times for patients through efficient practice management.
• Provide support for specialized procedures alongside specialists.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in dentistry is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a practicing dentist

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in dental procedures
• Patient management

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• CPR and Basic Life Support Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
