Job Description

As a key member of our pharmacy team in Johannesburg, your responsibilities will include counseling patients, monitoring drug interactions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive medication management.

Responsibilities

• Check prescriptions for accuracy and legality before dispensing.
• Offer consultations to patients regarding their medications and potential side effects.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to promote effective teamwork.
• Participate in health education programs within the community.
• Assist in the onboarding and training of new pharmacy staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting

Technical Skills

• Pharmaceutical Knowledge
• Clinical Pharmacy

Soft Skills

• Communication

Advantageous

• Experience with medication management systems: Familiarity with pharmacy software for managing prescriptions.
