Public Health Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Officer to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing health programs aimed at improving community health. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders to promote public health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Establish programs to address specific health issues in the community.
• Provide technical assistance to local health departments.
• Collect and analyze epidemiological data.
• Coordinate health fairs and community outreach events.
• Develop communication strategies to raise public awareness.
• Supervise junior staff and volunteers in public health activities.
• Report findings to health administrators and recommend improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health or Epidemiology is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health programs or healthcare management
