Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and development. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet our client's needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the testing process for mechanical systems and components.
• Develop prototypes and conduct performance testing.
• Prepare project proposals and presentations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams during the production phase.
• Evaluate and select proper materials for various projects.
• Ensure quality assurance and control throughout the engineering process.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Thermal Systems Analysis

Soft Skills

• Analytical Thinking
• Leadership

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiar with 3D printing technologies: Hands-on experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
• Six Sigma certification: Certification in Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
