Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of insurance proposals.

• Communicate clearly with clients regarding policy details and requirements.
• Support training initiatives for junior underwriting staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Insurance-related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in insurance underwriting

• Financial Analysis
• Insurance Regulatory Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Relationship Management

Certifications

• CII Certificate in Insurance
• CPCU Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficient in Excel for data analysis: Skilled in using Excel for creating reports and analyzing data.
• Familiarity with South African insurance regulations: Knowledge of local laws affecting insurance underwriting.
