Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter in Port Elizabeth to assess and process insurance applications. You will use your expertise to analyze risk and ensure compliance with company policies while providing clients with the best options for their insurance needs.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze incoming insurance applications.
• Gather information to assess risks and establish pricing strategies.
• Ensure the accuracy of the underwriting process.
• Provide recommendations and justifications for declined applications.
• Maintain excellent communication with clients and agents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in underwriting or related insurance roles

Certifications

• Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate
