Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee various construction projects in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Define project objectives and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Create effective project plans and documentation.
• Supervise and motivate project teams and subcontractors.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Prepare and present budget and resource allocations.
• Resolve conflicts and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Establish a project communication plan for effective information sharing.
• Review and approve project deliverables before submission.
• Continually evaluate project risks and make adjustments as necessary.
• Provide training and support to junior project managers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field
• PMP certification and/or relevant experience is advantageous

Experience

• 7+ years in construction project management or a related field

Technical Skills

• Construction Management Software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
• Scheduling

Soft Skills

• Team Management
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of Lean Construction Principles: Experience with lean methodologies to improve efficiencies.
• Familiarity with Project Costing Techniques: Expertise in estimating and controlling project costs.
