Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine and be passionate about providing high-quality care to animals. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners about proper animal care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess animal health through examinations and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop treatment plans for sick or injured animals.
  • Conduct routine health checks and preventative care.
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners about treatment options.
  • Participate in continuing education to improve skills.
  • Support the clinic's goals in customer service and satisfaction.
  • Assist in training new staff and interns.
  • Engage in client education to foster pet wellness.
  • Collaborate with local rescue organizations on animal welfare initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent
  • Experience in small animal practice preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in veterinary practice
