As a Social Worker in Cape Town, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals and families facing various social challenges. You'll be responsible for providing counseling, support, and advocacy services while working closely with other professionals in social services. Your expertise will help empower vulnerable populations and facilitate community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ emotional, psychological, and social needs.

• Provide comprehensive case management to help clients access needed services.
• Write reports and prepare documentation for funding proposals.
• Advocate for systemic change within community structures.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills.
• Supervise and mentor interns or student workers.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Facilitate partnerships with community organizations for enhanced service delivery.
• Offer technical assistance and education to client families.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
• Master's degree in Social Work is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of direct service experience
