Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Cape Town. Your main duties will involve processing prescriptions, providing medication information to patients, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. This position is vital for the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient medication reviews to ensure safety and efficacy.
  • Respond to medication queries from patients and healthcare providers.
  • Prepare custom dosage forms when necessary.
  • Implement best practices for medication storage and handling.
  • Facilitate communication between pharmacists and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities and training.
  • Maintain electronic health records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Assist with patient care plans as part of a healthcare team.
  • Evaluate patient medication adherence and offer guidance.
  • Manage pharmacy-related administrative tasks effectively.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field is a plus
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required
Experience
  • Over 3 years of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment
