As a Historical Interpreter, you will bring South Africa's rich history to life by leading engaging tours and educational sessions in various locations throughout Johannesburg. We're seeking passionate individuals with a flair for storytelling and a background in history or education.

Responsibilities

• Lead historical tours, making history accessible and enjoyable for all visitors.
• Create a welcoming environment for tourists and encourage engagement.
• Develop and maintain educational tools and resources for tours.
• Participate in training workshops to enhance personal and team skills.
• Report visitor feedback to improve tour quality and relevance.
• Maintain safety standards during tours and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Adapt tours to meet varying customer demographics and interests.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Education in History or Tourism is preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in tour guiding or education is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Public speaking

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
