Cybersecurity Consultant

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Consultant to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, as well as the ability to implement and manage security solutions tailored to our client's specific needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and strengthen cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Advocate for security enhancements in IT projects throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct threat analysis and vulnerability assessments regularly.
• Implement monitoring tools to detect and respond to security breaches.
• Educate staff and stakeholders about security practices and danger of breaches.
• Document and maintain comprehensive security policies for clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Security

Experience

• 4-6 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience

Technical Skills

• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Data Encryption

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with threat hunting: Competency in proactively searching through networks and systems to identify malicious activities.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks: Experience working with frameworks such as GDPR or PCI-DSS.
