Security Consultant

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Security Consultant based in Cape Town. Your role will be to analyse and enhance our clients' security posture by implementing effective cybersecurity measures and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess and enhance client security frameworks against best practices.
• Implement and manage security technologies and tools.
• Stay current with emerging threats and collaborate with teams to address them.
• Assist clients with incident response and recovery strategies.
• Lead security awareness programs for clients and staff.
• Create detailed security reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to audit and assess technology risks.
• Provide recommendations for technology upgrades and process improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's in Information Security preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a security consulting role with direct client engagement

Technical Skills

• Vulnerability Management
• Compliance Auditing

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Client Relationship Management

Certifications

• CISM
• CEH

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in Security Incident Management: Hands-on experience with incident management processes and response plans.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps Practices: Knowledge of integrating security practices within DevOps processes.
