Fashion Line Developer - Durban - Fashion Design

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Line Developer to join our vibrant team in Durban. This role involves designing and developing fashion lines, collaborating closely with designers and product managers to ensure that collections meet market trends and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead creative brainstorming sessions to drive innovative product concepts.
• Review and refine designs based on market feedback and sales data.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacture.
• Conduct fittings and production checks to maintain quality standards.
• Prepare and analyse sales data to inform future product lines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with fabric suppliers and manufacturers.
• Create and manage project timelines for product launches.
• Implement marketing strategies in collaboration with the sales team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising or equivalent
• Master's degree in Design or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in product line management

Technical Skills

• Sewing Techniques
• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Leadership

Certifications

• Sustainability in Fashion Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
