Job Description

We are in search of a talented Civil Engineer skilled in structural design and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various projects from concept to execution, ensuring quality, compliance, and adherence to budgets.

Responsibilities

• Implement innovative engineering solutions for infrastructure projects.
• Review and approve engineering plans and designs.
• Liaise with governmental and regulatory bodies regarding compliance.
• Ensure environmental considerations are integrated into project designs.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on project teams.
• Analyze risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout project life cycles.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering preferred
• Professional Engineer registration (Pr.Eng) with ECSA

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• RISA
• Strong Knowledge of Building Codes

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Registered Construction Project Manager

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Environmental Regulations: Knowledge of environmental regulations affecting civil projects.
• Experience with NGO Projects: Involvement in projects with non-profit organizations.
