Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to identify health concerns.
  • Perform surgical procedures while following established protocols.
  • Administer routine vaccinations and discuss preventive care.
  • Maintain open communication with pet owners regarding their pets' health.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic environment.
  • Mentor junior staff and assist with training.
  • Participate in community outreach programs on pet care.
  • Keep abreast of new drugs, treatments, and veterinary technologies.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment plans accurately.
  • Foster a positive working environment and team spirit.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a veterinary setting
