We are seeking a passionate Environmental Consultant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on environmental best practices, assisting in assessments, and promoting sustainable development initiatives. This role is integral to helping our clients meet their environmental regulations and improve their sustainability strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental impact assessments and mitigation planning.
• Foster partnerships with local organizations to enhance community engagement.
• Evaluate and monitor compliance with environmental management plans.
• Propose solutions to complex environmental challenges.
• Utilize ecological and environmental science knowledge to influence decision-making.
• Support client applications for environmental licenses and permits.
• Assist in the development of strategic environmental assessments.
• Document best practices and lessons learned for future projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years in environmental consulting or related field
