Pet Groomer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Pet Groomer to enhance our grooming team in Pretoria. You will be responsible for providing excellent pet grooming services, ensuring each pet is pampered and cared for during their visit.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services for various dog and cat breeds.
• Keep accurate records of pet grooming sessions and owner preferences.
• Ensure the use of safe and sanitary grooming practices.
• Engage with pet owners to provide grooming recommendations.
• Assist in the training of junior grooming staff.
• Promote our grooming products to clients.
• Help manage inventory of grooming supplies.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Animal Care or related field is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in grooming or animal care

Technical Skills

• De-shedding Techniques
• Styling Techniques

Soft Skills

• Strong Communication
• Empathy for Animals

Certifications

• Pet First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Understanding of pet behavior: Ability to read pet behavior and respond accordingly during grooming.
• Marketing skills: Experience in promoting grooming services to clients.
