Job Description

We are seeking an Actuary to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing financial risk and providing insights for our insurance products. You will apply advanced statistical techniques to assess risk, and contribute to our financial forecasting and planning strategies. Responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret statistical data to assess financial risks.
• Develop models to predict risk scenarios and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
• Collaborate with underwriting and finance teams to align pricing strategies.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Monitor and review data trends to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the design and pricing of insurance products.
• Provide expert advice to management regarding risk policies and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in an actuarial or similar analytical role

Certifications

• Fellowship of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
• ISO 31000 Compliance Certification
