An exciting opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in maintaining and improving our cloud-based systems, ensuring platform reliability and scalability, and a passion for automating tasks to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement system architecture that allows for scalability and resilience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues promptly.
• Integrate new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain CI/CD & monitoring pipelines to support development efforts.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production incidents.
• Continuously evaluate system performance and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 4+ years in systems engineering or site reliability engineering roles

• Monitoring Tools

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• ITIL Foundation Level

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with load balancing and failover strategies: Demonstrated ability in implementing load balancing.
• Familiarity with Terraform: Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
