Job Description

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our vibrant team in Cape Town. You will play a vital role in automating and optimizing our infrastructure and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
• Maintain and optimize cloud-based services and resources.
• Provide support for system upgrades and changes.
• Collaborate with IT security to ensure safe data handling and storage.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree in related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps role

Technical Skills

• Kubernetes
• Script Writing (Bash, Python)

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking

Certifications

• Google Cloud Certified - Associate Cloud Engineer
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals

Languages

• English: Fluent
