Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical systems and design processes, as well as a knack for problem-solving and innovation. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing mechanical designs, while collaborating closely with engineers and project managers to ensure the successful execution of projects.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced engineering tools for design optimisation and simulation.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
• Assist in the application of for regulatory compliance regarding mechanical designs.
• Provide technical support to installation and maintenance teams as required.

Advantageous

• Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM): Skills in designing products that are easy to manufacture.
• Familiarity with simulation tools for design validation: Experience using simulation software to ensure design integrity.
