Grinding Machine Setter

Job Description

As a Grinding Machine Setter, you will be key in setting up and operating grinding machines to ensure the production of high-precision metal parts. Your expertise will ensure quality control and adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cylindrical and surface grinding machines in accordance with technical specifications.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet accuracy and quality standards.
• Make adjustments to machines to optimize performance and output.
• Follow strict adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain records of operations and any relevant quality issues.
• Collaborate effectively with other team members to enhance production efficiency.
• Be involved in quality control processes to ensure the highest standards are met.
• Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting on grinding machines.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve processes.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Technical certification in machine operation is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting, specifically with grinding machines.
