We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to join our team based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and managing mining operations, ensuring efficiency and safety in our mining processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage mining operations from exploration to closure.
• Collaborate with environmental and safety teams for compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop safety protocols.
• Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and local communities.
• Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure budgets.
• Analyze geological data to support mining decisions.
• Evaluate new technologies for potential application in mining.
• Train staff on best practices and operational procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering
• Postgraduate degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mining engineering roles

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Safety Management Systems

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (PrEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent
