Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Courier to join our team in Johannesburg. This role involves the timely collection and delivery of medical specimens, ensuring they reach their destination safely and on time. You'll be essential in supporting healthcare professionals by handling sensitive materials and adhering to rigorous protocols.

Responsibilities

• Transport medical specimens and supplies while ensuring compliance with health regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries and pickups.
• Effectively manage time to ensure all deliveries are completed within specified timeframes.
• Assist in loading and unloading items as necessary.
• Act as a liaison between logistics coordinators and healthcare personnel.
• Report any issues encountered during delivery immediately.
• Ensure that all delivery routes are planned efficiently.
• Participate in training on safe handling practices for hazardous materials.
• Ensure proper documentation for all medical materials transported.
• Foster strong relationships with healthcare clients and colleagues.

Requirements

Education

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Experience

• Experience in medical courier services is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with transportation management software

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• First Aid/CPR Certification: Having a certification in First Aid or CPR is a plus.
• Experience in logistics coordination: Prior experience coordinating logistics in a healthcare setting.
