Job Description

As a Fleet Manager in Durban, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fleet operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for optimizing fleet performance and ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate fleet maintenance schedules and repairs.
• Evaluate new technologies for fleet operations.
• Prepare reports for upper management on fleet performance.
• Establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing.
• Ensure fleet vehicles are compliant with safety standards.
• Lead initiatives for environmentally sustainable fleet practices.
• Assist in recruiting and training of fleet staff.
• Respond to fleet-related emergencies as they arise.
• Monitor fuel consumption to identify efficiency opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• MBA is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in a management role within fleet operations
