Job Description

The Conservation Officer will be responsible for the development and implementation of conservation strategies designed to protect and enhance natural resources and biodiversity. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders, engage with the public, and promote awareness about critical conservation issues.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze environmental data to inform conservation strategies.
  • Prepare educational materials to inform the public about conservation initiatives.
  • Develop partnerships with local communities to enhance conservation efforts.
  • Coordinate and conduct community outreach programs to encourage public involvement.
  • Review and improve existing conservation policies and practices.
  • Assess the condition of natural habitats and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Participate in fundraising efforts to support conservation projects.
  • Assist with the training and development of conservation staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to environmental science
  • Master’s degree preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years in conservation management or environmental protection.
