Mechanical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical systems, with a focus on diagnosing and resolving technical issues. You will support our engineering department in maintaining equipment, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and recommend improvements for existing mechanical processes.
• Ensure all mechanical repairs are completed in a timely manner.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues.
• Document all technical issues and repairs for analysis.
• Contribute to a positive and safe work environment.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a mechanical technician role

Technical Skills

• Mechanical Design Software
• Welding and Fabrication

Certifications

• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
