We are seeking a skilled Lard Maker to join our dedicated production team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality lard products through various processes, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Render and purify animal fat to produce lard.
Manage production schedules to meet demands efficiently.
Ensure that all health protocols are strictly followed.
Perform taste tests and quality checks on lard products.
Report any issues with machinery or production quality to management.
Help design new production strategies and methods.
Take part in training sessions on food safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies.
Participate in team building activities to enhance workplace culture.
Promote a collaborative work environment for better productivity.
Requirements
Education
Certification in Food Production
Training in meat processing is a plus
Experience
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in lard production.
