Process Control Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Process Control Engineer to enhance our engineering team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of process control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies, and a proven track record in optimizing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Implement robust control strategies to minimize downtime.
• Conduct feasibility studies for process automation projects.
• Analyze control data for trends and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement of control systems.
• Design user-friendly interfaces for operators and engineers.
• Prepare and present findings and recommendations to management.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress and outcomes.
• Implement best practices for process safety management.
• Foster relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering or related field
• Postgraduate degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a process control or automation role

Technical Skills

• SCADA Systems
• PLC Programming

Certifications

• Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
