Social Worker

Job Description

As a Social Worker at our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals and families. This position involves conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and connecting clients with necessary resources, all aimed at promoting social welfare and community health.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to clients.
• Connect clients with appropriate community resources for support.
• Work alongside other professionals to coordinate care.
• Document all interactions and maintain case records.
• Advocate for clients’ needs within the social service system.
• Conduct workshops and community education programs.
• Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology
• Master's degree in Social Work is highly regarded

Experience

• 2+ years of practical experience in community service or social work

Technical Skills

• Crisis Intervention
• Resource Management

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker (RSW)
• Trauma-Informed Care Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous
