Responsibilities

• Assess and manage medical emergencies effectively
• Participate in continuous medical education and training
• Advocate for patients' health needs within the community
• Facilitate referrals to specialists as necessary
• Document all patient-related information accurately and securely

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Specialization in General Practice is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in similar roles

• Patient Diagnosis
• Emergency Care Skills

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Crisis Management

Certifications

• HPCSA Registration
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Proficient

• Skills in minor surgical procedures: Ability to perform minor surgical tasks competently.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team: Familiarity with collaboration in healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.
