Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our thriving practice in the heart of Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient care, diagnose and treat various health conditions, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal health outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient education sessions on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Manage chronic disease patients and review health progress regularly.
• Conduct minor surgical procedures when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and administrative staff to ensure smooth operation of the practice.
• Assess and manage emergency health situations.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine is advantageous

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in general practice

Technical Skills

• Management of Chronic Illness
• Preventive Medicine

Soft Skills

• Team Collaboration
• Time Management

Certifications

• Family Medicine certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Bilingual Skills: Ability to communicate fluently in multiple languages.
• Experience in Pediatric and Geriatric Care: Experience managing care for both pediatric and geriatric patients.
