Job Description

We are seeking a keen and detail-oriented Freight Planner to join our talented team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and optimizing logistics solutions to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate freight service levels and optimize supply chain operations.
• Prepare freight reports for management review.
• Ensure efficient handling and tracking of all shipments.
• Conduct freight audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with freight carriers.
• Identify risks in logistics processes and suggest mitigations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Facilitate training for logistics staff on compliance and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Higher Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in transportation planning and logistics

Technical Skills

• Project Management
• Transport Planning Software

Soft Skills

• Analytical Skills
• Negotiation

Certifications

• APICS Certification
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
